Gallery galavanting

It is a glorious day today. We were supposed to go to a birthday party this morning but an unfortunate discovery of headlice in the boys' hair last night canned that option. Ick...our first ever infestation, thanks pre-school!

It seemed criminal to waste such beautiful weather, so I took the boys to the lake for some exploring in the sculpture garden and morning tea at the National Gallery.

I love watching my boys in the sculpture garden. They're so responsive to the artworks and love feeling the textures of the materials. They never look at things from just one angle...they love to go all the way round, under and through.

After a bite to eat at the gallery we wandered down to the waterfront.

Don't you just adore the colours along Lake Burleigh Griffin?

Before we knew it the morning had disappeared and it was time to head home. Have a lovely weekend! xxx
